Dental Mirror of Sir Frederick Seymour

 

A folding dental mirror in unmarked silver which is finely engraved Guilloché style. The border of the mirror is beveled in silver. On the centre of the back is the Seymour crest over which is the coronet of the first and last Baron Alcester - Admiral Sir Frederick Beauchamp Paget Seymour. He was the only surviving son of Sir Horace Beauchamp Seymour and grandson of Admiral Lord Hugh Seymour, the 5th son of the 1st Marquess of Hertford. Sir Frederick was created Baron Alcester, of Alcester, Co. Warwick on the 24th November 1882. His peerage fell into extinction on his death on the 30th March 1895. He was unmarried.
