A late
19th century hand held ear horn signed on the apex by Tiemann. It is
made of a brass core which has been covered over its external
surface by a thick layer of hardened rubber, which was designed to
protect it and which gives it a durable heavy feel. The rubber covering extends over the earpiece which is
