A pair of early celluloid faux tortoise shell auricles by F C Rein dating to the early 20th century. The celluloid is thick and has jointed seams and the earpieces are extensions of the celluloid. The auricles are secured over the head by a telescopic metal headband connecting the two. Each piece is signed inside the bell of the auricle "FC Rein patentees".
