Two boxed 19th century faux tortoise shell celluloid auricles.
The oval shaped carton reads: "

1286 Broadway New York City ". On the back of the box is a receipt
for one of the auricles to Mrs B Dagget of Bristol dated Feb 27
1872. The auricles themselves have an attractive organic art nouveau
design and are marked "
Multi-Audiphone Dr F M Blodgett New York Patented April 8 1890
" 2L and 2R on either piece denote the size and side. There is
some degeneration in one of the auricles which is not uncommon in celluloid of this age.
