An unusual pair of French ear tubes in their original velvet and silk lined presentation box, made from hallmarked silver cones. The inside of the cones are covered in flesh coloured enamel paint which was intended to conceal their presence whilst being worn. Frequently the paint is worn and chipped but this pair remain in excellent condition. The silver has two French hallmarks, one in a triangle for the maker reading R&D (unidentified) and the other indicating 800 silver
