Based on a design patented by
Maloney in 1895 (although produced by the Globe Ear Phone Co. into
the early 20th century). This Bakelite aid is unusual in that it has
a metal diaphragm and also the ear piece fits over the ear "not
inserted into the meatus - thus being more comfortable to use and
avoiding any possible damage to the ear drum |
