An unusual early 20th century
conversation tube. The ear and mouthpiece are made from aluminium
(which would have been a luxury and expensive material in these
times). The connecting tube is bound with woven silk. The mouth
piece is configured so that it can be held over the mouth in much
the same way as an anesthetic mask, and which allows the
transmission of even the faintest whisper |
