A beautiful French round lancet case with inlaid ivory ring and top ivory inset which contains 6 tortoise shell thumb lancets. The lancets are made of blonde tortoise shell and are all in good condition although the handle to one pair is slightly nibbled. In keeping with many French sets one of the lancets is of the vaccinating type. They are stamped by various makers. There are two barely discernible hairline cracks on the lid (which can be seen in the pictures) of no structural significance and which are mentioned for the sake of completeness.
