A circa 1880 Dutch
tracheotomy set by J C Aalders, a renowned
maker of medical and dental instruments. The set
consists of a crosshatched ebony double ended
tracheotomy knife / probe and and forceps, both
signed Aalders. Two ebony handled tenaculae hooks.
Two blunt wound retractors, and two solid silver tracheotomy
tubes with cannulae and locking mechanisms. All beautifully fitted in the original leather,
velvet and silk lined case which is embossed in gold
letters within an emblem "J C Aalders Amsterdam" |
