A nickel plated inhaler which could be used for either nasal or oral inhalation. The bottom of central tube unscrews and would be filled with material or cotton wool doused in the liquid to be inhaled. The lower tube was used for oral inhalation and the upper tube for nasal inhalation. The cap is marked PAT Feb 16 1897
